welcome back

Wow it's been almost an entire year since the last time that I've written a public Xanga entry. I've updated a few times with private entries, but none for anyone else, I've been selfish, and I am sorry. It seems there are about 5 people that still do use this site, and I think I've realized the reason for it.

They changed EVERYTHING!

It seriously took me about 10 minutes to find the link to write a new entry. I feel like people threw away Xanga for Facebook, Xanga tried to pretty itself up to get them back, and when people came crawling back for Xanga, they didn't like the new and improved. Well it was for me anyway..

So for some updates, I graduated school (time flies right?) and now I've been in Korea for a little less than a week. I'm staying with Jay in Mokdong. I'll be staying here for exactly one month, then I'm back in the states, moving to Baltimore to work at Morgan Stanley. I've also noticed that in the past, I was always more prone to write Xanga entries when I had less interaction with actual people. For some reason I feel like that may become the case when I get to Baltimore - living alone in a tiny studio ... could cause some loneliness.. possibly.

slow down

so at work i see clients information about where they work and how much money they make and stuff (am i allowed to disclose this information??) well since i don't want to do anything illegal, let me just say, that i never knew some people could make so much money. High school principals? Guidance counselors?? Church music directors??? they are making BANK!

also, xanga keeps telling me to change my password whenever i sign in, and whenever i do. it doesn't work. and so it takes me an extra 2 minutes to log in, is anyone else having this problem?

there's an imposter in nova. apparantly, another is300, my model... my COLOR! so to help clarify, a few unique features of my car:
1) There are no badges on the car except the L on the trunk
2) The windows are tinted 35% black all the way around
3) The car sits a little bit lower than the stock version
4) I have an aftermarket exhaust on the car
5) Obviously, I have a JMU parking sticker on the car.
those are all things you can see from the back, since if you're in front or beside me, you should see me :)

i saw a champagne/gold maxima on rolling the other day with a JMU sticker on the back windshield... anyone's parents?

Why is it that if you have class/work at a late time (lets say anytime from 12-3...) you feel like you have to wake up about one hour before that time to get ready. As if, that responsibility HAS to be what starts your day off. If your class starts at 3pm, you sleep at 5 am, and wake up at 2pm. Interesting phenomenon.

so the last couple of days at work, my boss hasn't come in and so i've been pretty much whatever I want. maybe he trusts me to do my work even though he's not here (which I do... just not for the entire time) i'm working at two different offices, one in fairfax and one in tysons, and so I get to skip all of the ridiculous nova traffic. the first day I went to work it took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to tysons from springfield. it's pretty cool though, because since my boss isn't here, i sit in his office in his desk and I feel like its my own. Even at the other location, I pretty much have my own office too... as an intern, neat-o!

Funny experiences at work, I was calling some businesses to set a meeting with one of our brokers, and find out that they are already with our company..... talk about akward, where'd this fracking list come from!? Funny company's on my list: Husbands for Hire .... Knights for Hire.... seriously, what does that mean?

one of the perks of being up early in the morning is that I get to listen to radio morning shows. back at home it's the z morning zoo, which is hilarious, and here it's the kane show. these shows are so funny that I actually laugh out loud in my car even though i'm butt tired. other nova experiences include eating at chipotle - not as good as everyone makes it out to be, but its not that bad.. i honestly think it's comparable to the burritos at PC Dukes.. maybe not.

anyone working in the tyson's area let me know if you'd like to eat lunch, it gets lonely eating alone sometimes. there's also this back office here where they keep all of their extra crap at, and i found things that are so interesting that i want to take them home. like those dorky finance related t-shirts that no one understands, but looks at it and knows that you're a nerd... i want it! i wonder if they'll let me have one...

working full time is pretty tiring. especially after the school year when my earliest class was at 12ish which I rarely went to. I go home after work and i don't want to do anything. so i recently picked up watching anime, i'm watching naruto right now (which i can't believe i'm doing, i sold out again).. i think that'll be my plan for the rest of the summer.. work then naruto, which is good... i'll save money - except on gas, which is ridiculously expensive but i spend an insane amount of here. weekends - i usually go visit other places, so i could be coming to your area soon, stay tuned!

well.. i'm going to start working now, i think the other employees are wondering why they haven't heard me make a call since i got here an hour ago... anyone that needs a financial advisor or works for a company they think might benefit from a full service human resources and employee benefits broker... let me know. help me, help you! (yea i know i'm a nerd)

---edit---

hahah i just walked out to the front to get some water, and the other girl working here (she's pretty young too) says "i'm hard at work on my myspace" hahaha, I guess today's going to be a relaaaxxed day. now she's soo-da-dduh-luh-ing with her friend...AND she's leaving early to get her hair done. hahah yipee! i guess i can play around a little more

wow this has been an insane week. school ended last friday, and i came home saturday afternoon, only to drive to new york after a few hours. stayed in nyc, kickin it like a g (you guys know that song "this is how we do it" but montell jordan, i heard it on the radio the other day and there's this one part that goes, i used to be a little g but now i'm a big G. i thought it was so funny when i heard it, maybe you will find it funny too) until tuesday. Then as soon as i got back home tuesday night, i went back to nova. then on wednesday we went to ocean city, and I just got back from there right now. and tomorrow afternoon i'll be driving back to nova. all that amounts to about about 31 hours of driving/riding in the car. wow. well i'm off to pack/sleep. see you all in nova.
